The team at Anita Ogle & Associates can help you with your Life Care Planning needs for individuals who have chronic health care needs or who have experienced a catastrophic injury. The designation of Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP) reflects additional training, experience, and knowledge of a Registered Nurse who specializes in this field and they are governed by the Scope and Standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act. The LCP projects costs of healthcare and medical equipment needs over the individual’s lifespan and serves as a critical component of planning for the future for adjusters/insurance companies, elder care, Medicare Set-Asides, and plaintiff and defense attorneys and other areas. Expert witness testimony is included as part of the life care planning process. Examples of when a Life Care Plan may be needed: Amputations, severe burns, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and cerebral palsy. The Life Care Plan will outline future medical care of various modalities, medications, orthotics/prosthetics, transportation/housing needs or modifications, durable medical equipment and other needs specific to the individual.

Cost Projections

Cost projection services are available to attorneys and insurance professionals that are a more concise review of medical bills and expenses to allow for accurate planning for future medical expenses not covered by Medicare. Life Care Plans and cost projections are both valuable tools for planning and litigation of catastrophic claims and long-term disability. Having an experienced nurse with the knowledge and credentials to help in this area can help you be more proactive when making decisions for your clients.
